LEVUKA Public School student Ana Ledua won the best news story for the Kaila! Design Your Own Newspaper project.

The lass from Moala in Lau said her issue was focused on plight of students from rural villages that are educated at her school.

“I chose this topic because i wanted to see for myself the struggles my mother went through when she was in school. Through them and working on their stories i was able to understand the situation they are in,” Ana said.

She thanked her teachers for assisting her and the students whom she interviewed as part of her project.
